As the month of August unfolds in Miami, the city welcomes the arrival of a cherished culinary celebration known as Miami Spice Restaurant Months. Running from August 1 through September 30, this annual event, organized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), presents an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to savor three-course, prix-fixe menus offered at over 300 of Miami’s esteemed restaurants, all at a minimum savings of 30%.
Now in its 24th year, Miami Spice is not just a culinary initiative but a celebration of the city’s eclectic dining landscape. Offering lunch and brunch menus at $35 and dinner options ranging from $45 to $60, the program encompasses over 20 neighborhoods and features everything from acclaimed fine dining establishments to community favorites.
Dining and Community Impact
This year, Miami Spice reinforces its commitment to social responsibility by partnering with Camillus House, a nonprofit focused on supporting individuals facing homelessness. Each restaurant’s Spice menu includes a QR code for donations, and the GMCVB pledges to match the first $25,000 contributed by diners—allowing guests to contribute meaningfully while enjoying their meals.
Enhancing the Dining Experience
In 2025, the program also emphasizes luxury through collaborations with services like Blacklane, a global chauffeur service. By using Blacklane’s app and the promo code Spice25, diners can receive $30 off premium transportation to their selected venue.
Once at the table, the experience is enhanced with exceptional beverage options. Official wine collaborators include Terrazas de los Andes, showcasing Argentine wines, and the renowned Whispering Angel Rosé from Provence. For those who enjoy cocktails, Margarita Spice, created by Mexica Tequila and the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, features a delightful infusion of local ingredients, garnished with spiced lemongrass from the garden.
Noteworthy Dining Events and Chefs
This year’s Miami Spice introduces diners to exclusive culinary events that extend the gourmet experience beyond conventional meals. These include a five-course dinner at Le Jardinier Miami, collaborating with L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, an omakase experience at Blind Tiger, and a unique dinner-and-show pairing at Faena Theater.
Renowned Michelin-starred establishments such as Stubborn Seed, Cote Miami, and Beauty and the Butcher will offer special Spice menus highlighting seasonal ingredients and gourmet preparations.
New culinary stars join the scene this year, featuring Uchi in Wynwood, the Colombian favorite Andrés Carne de Res, and other establishments like Wyn Wyn and Ghee Indian Kitchen.
A Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability remains a key focus during this year’s event. Initiatives like Compost for Life & Glass for Life aim to minimize waste by repurposing materials and redistributing food to those in need. Many participating restaurants are also joining the Surfrider Foundation’s Ocean Friendly Restaurants program, advocating for responsible dining practices.
The Culinary Landscape of Miami
Greater Miami and Miami Beach are on the rise as pivotal dining destinations, recently earning 16 Michelin stars—the highest in Florida. This stature solidifies their position as a top culinary hub in the U.S. as recognized by WalletHub’s designation as the #1 Foodie City in America. Miami Spice 2025 serves as an invitation to everyone to explore the finest culinary creations at exceptional value.
As noted by David Whitaker, President & CEO of the GMCVB, “For two decades, Miami Spice Restaurant Months has been an anticipated celebration of the city’s best restaurants, chefs, and creativity… with hundreds of restaurants participating, Miami Spice provides diners with opportunities to discover new flavors while supporting meaningful causes.”
Miami Spice 2025 transcends traditional dining; it is an invitation to explore the artistry that establishes Miami’s reputation as a significant player on the global culinary stage.
