Following the unveiling of Ferrari’s first all-electric model, the Luce, Rolls-Royce has reaffirmed its position at the forefront of luxury electric vehicles. On June 2, the company introduced the Spectre Series II, which enhances its first fully electric production vehicle, launched in 2022. While Ferrari faces mixed opinions on its design direction, Rolls-Royce has chosen a thoughtful approach that evolves its existing model. The original Spectre has become a significant success, achieving the status of Rolls-Royce’s second best-selling model in 2025. Rather than a complete overhaul, the Spectre Series II builds on its predecessor with subtle yet impactful improvements.
Enhancements and Customization
At first glance, the Spectre Series II maintains its predecessor’s graceful proportions, with an emphasis on enhancing personalization options through new materials. Many Rolls-Royce clients prefer uniqueness, and demand for bespoke features on the Spectre is surpassed only by the Phantom. Some requests involve over twenty individualized bespoke elements per vehicle.
To cater to customer needs, the Spectre Series II adds novel customization options such as Duality Twill, a modern rayon fabric made from bamboo fibers. A full interior crafted from this material can contain up to 2.6 million stitches and may take as long as 25 hours to complete. Additionally, buyers can opt for Placed Perforation leather, featuring thousands of precisely cut holes that create illuminated artistic designs within the cabin.

Externally, the vehicle benefits from a new Ethereal Blue color option and a distinctive set of 23-inch forged alloy wheels. These wheels are meticulously crafted to capture and reflect light from all angles, with each one undergoing up to six hours of hand-finishing.
Performance and Technology
Beyond aesthetic enhancements, engineering advancements are noteworthy. The updated model is estimated to achieve an EPA range of 308 miles, reflecting a 16 percent increase over its predecessor. Torque capacity also rises from 749 lb-ft to 811 lb-ft in Spirited Mode, offering a more responsive driving experience. Charging efficiency has seen an improvement of approximately 14 percent, facilitated by advancements in battery technology, thereby minimizing downtime between trips.
Notably for North American buyers, the Spectre Series II adopts the North American Charging Standard (NACS), enabling access to a wider public charging network and enhancing convenience for long-distance travel.
Pricing details are anticipated later this year. However, Rolls-Royce confirmed that customer orders will commence this week, providing early access for interested buyers.
