Set on 32 acres adorned with oak trees, the site features a tasting room and a restaurant focused on seasonal, organic cuisine that reflects the rich offerings of the Texas Hill Country. The wines served here are made exclusively from 100% USDA Organic grapes.
Expanding Horizons
This marks Halter Ranch’s first expansion beyond its California roots. The original winery in Paso Robles spans a remarkable 2,700 acres and includes a modern production facility, while another tasting room is located in Temecula. Visitors to the Fredericksburg location will discover not only an exceptional selection of organic wines but also the opportunity to enjoy dishes crafted from ingredients sourced locally.
Restaurant H, overseen by Executive Chef Paul Arangorin, offers a menu that evolves with the seasons, showcasing the freshest Texas produce. The collaboration with local suppliers emphasizes Halter Ranch’s commitment to sustainable farming and winemaking practices that honor the land.
The facility includes a spacious tasting room alongside a dedicated dining area for guests keen to pair their meals with Halter Ranch wines. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide cinematic views of the Hill Country, complemented by a welcoming patio for outdoor enjoyment.
Bryce Mullins, the Vice President and General Manager of Halter Ranch, remarked on the attraction of the Texas Hill Country as a fitting location for the winery’s expansion.
To produce its wines, Halter Ranch collaborates with Bending Branch Winery in Comfort, Texas, as well as two local farmers dedicated to growing organic grapes. With a commitment to innovation, Halter Ranch is cultivating an acre of organic Blanc du Bois grapes on its Texas property. “Our priority is to create something beautiful while minimizing our impact on the environment,” says the winemaker. The focus on organic methods leads to terroir-driven wines, a philosophy Halter Ranch is eager to share with the state.
