Marriott International is set to enhance New Zealand’s luxury hospitality scene with the introduction of St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. With its scheduled opening in late 2027, St. Regis Queenstown aims to embody the essence of upscale living in this internationally renowned travel destination.
The hotel will occupy a prime location in central Queenstown, providing breathtaking views of the majestic Remarkables mountain range and the serene waters of Lake Wakatipu. Envisioned to include 145 guest rooms and suites, St. Regis Queenstown will position itself among the leading luxury accommodations in the area.
In alignment with its esteemed legacy, the hotel will offer signature experiences characteristic of the St. Regis brand. Planned venues include The Drawing Room, The St. Regis Bar, and a contemporary all-day dining option, complemented by exclusive event spaces for private functions and gatherings.
A defining feature of the St. Regis experience is its renowned Butler Service, delivering personalized hospitality for over a century. Guests can anticipate tailored services such as packing and unpacking assistance, garment pressing, and customized in-room beverage arrangements.
Wellness will be integral to the hotel’s design, with plans for a St. Regis Spa featuring hydrothermal facilities, a relaxation lounge, an indoor heated pool, and a fully-equipped fitness center.
Queenstown attracts more than two million visitors annually, known for its stunning landscapes and abundance of adventure tourism options. The arrival of St. Regis Hotels is expected to significantly elevate the region’s luxury offerings.
The project is developed in collaboration with PHC Queenstown Limited, marking a continued partnership with Marriott International. Upon completion, St. Regis Queenstown will contribute to the increasing portfolio of St. Regis properties across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, reinforcing the brand’s presence in sought-after luxury destinations.
